Snowden docs expose Match.com/OK Cupid and big dating sites as fronts for political honey traps and privacy harvesting.

Snowden docs expose Match.com/OK Cupid and big dating sites as fronts for honey traps and privacy harvesting.

NBC Investigates, Glenn Greenwald, and numerous other journalists have, this week, revealved documents and research that show that big dating sites are being used to trick users into laying their most intimate information into vast global databases for culling by both spies and marketing research mills. Some sites start small, like OK Cupid, and then are taken over by the "Big Data" cartels who pump them for personal information; provide photo comparison access so outside spy and marketing groups can photo-compare dating pictures to Facebook and Linked-in profiles to harvest all of your outside information, create "honey traps" using fake profiles to get people to go someplace or do something as a trick; find your credit card information; find your personal interests and "intents"; and a host of other insidious Big Data privacy harvesting intrigues. Some sites were created just for privacy harvesting. Let's discuss:

Are specific politicians using the NSA for private personal vendetta's to hit their business competitors?

Are specific politicians using the NSA for private personal vendetta's and to hit their business competitors?

Politicians are neither military officers nor law enforcement officers, they are business men. Most of them are in the positions they are in because of special financial business backers. They sometimes do things for the greater profit rather than for the greater domestic good. Can a politician who is jewish cause the NSA resources to be used against Palistinean business interests? Can a Senator funded by Comcast use NSA resources to harm NETFLIX? Can a Chevron oil backed Senator use the NSA to take deals away from Gazprom in Algeria? Recent revelations by senior federal staff have confirmed that the NSA resources were, indeed, used to track, harass and stalk lovers, ex-wives and business competitors. The cross link of the database resources now allows any Mayor of any city to access much of that data simply by saying: "they suspect something". Snowden recently made an announcement that the main problem he had with the abuse of spying was that it was not being used to fight bad guys, in many cases, but for "economic spying" to advantage one group of investors over another. Let's say, for example, that Senator Dianne Feinstein's husband, Richard Blum, is pissed off because he found out that Steve Wynn and Sidney Adelson are competing against his CBRE real estate company in Las Vegas for a big convention center contract. Is it possible for Dianne Fienstein to tell her chief of staff to tell Eric Holder's chief of staff to tell an investigator to: "Pull some dirt on Adelson"? or, even more insidious: "take down his other investments so he has less cash to play with"! Let's discuss: FG-LAT, uy-NYT, ----------------------------------------------

Is there really such a thing as an erroneous corporate Twitter slam?

Is there really such a thing as an erroneous corporate Twitter slam? In an age where every corporate communication event has 14 to 30 different staff double-checking every communication item, a number of different media monitoring services, and where all corporate email is read, recorded and data harvested for "employee dissatisfaction trends"; is it really possible that corporate staff and PR accounts are actually sending out "horrible twitter slams" "by accident"? The reality is, if your corporate brand, media personality or Corporate PR account has over 300,000 actual followers, your big corporation will order a media hit without a second thought. The MSNBC, Match.com and other Twitter incidents actually may have worked like this: 1. "Hey Martha, we see that Twitter account #4 has 650,000 actual (not meat puppet) followers." 2. "So we are mad at so-and-so and we want you to tweet that he sleeps with goats" 3. "We will then send out the classic "we do not condone such thoughts.. blah, blah, blah disclaimer" and "fire you" (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) 4. " Of course your severance package will be 6 times what you would make in 5 years working for us and this immediate golden-parachute is a sure thing." 5. "So whaddya say?" 6. "The cost of your "severance package" is worth ten times the value of sticking it to so-and so and in two years everybody will have forgetten you did it." 7. "On top of that, the false controversy it will create, will get our brand name mentioned millions of times. After awhile nobody remembers if you were mentioned for something good or bad, they just remember that you are famous for something" 8. "Mainstream America is so clinically stupid, they fall for it everytime." MSNBC, Match.com and the rest of the "Accidental Tweet Disaster Follies" learned from the best: Lindsey Lohan and Kim Kardasian: It doesn't matter how disgusting, low-class, idiotic or lame the thing is you Tweet, as long as it gets "traction". If someone famous is about to retire from a company, the PR director will sometimes ask them to leave with an Exit Tweet Slam. Since they are leaving the company anyway, why not? Lately, the companies do not even name the person that got fired. They can just make up that there was some bad intern or "entry level staffer" who does not exist. Thus saving the cost of the severance package. Brought to you by the same Hollywood PR spin people who gave you "Rehab": You can cheat on your wife all you want and take as many drugs as you want as long as, the minute you get caught, you say you are "acknowledging your problem and will enter rehab" where you will hang out in Malibu for two weeks and catch up on your reading while rehab room-service brings you food at the beach. Then, when you "return from Rehab" everybody will say: "oh, that was an unfortunate thing but look, he went to "Rehab" so he is all fixed now, hooray". So feel free to Tweet that this culture, or that political party, eats baby brains. The more horrific; the more free PR. Twitter doesn't care. They only follow their own policies selectivly, as proven by the many thousands of prostitutes and escorts openly advertising on Twitter in clear violation of their Terms of Service. Let's discuss J-  Daily Caller ----------------------------------------- Twitter Says 'Our Bad' for Posting Fake Tweets by Real Users ...

Enough is enough, Silicon Valley must end its elitism and arrogance: Washington Post

Enough is enough, Silicon Valley must end its elitism and arrogance

A storm is brewing over Silicon Valley. The world expects better behavior from its tech titans. (Jeff Chiu/AP)

When computers were just for nerds and large corporations, Silicon Valley’s elite could get away with arrogance, insularity and sexism. They were building products for people that looked just like them.  The child geniuses inspired so much awe that their frat-boy behavior was a topic of amusement. Now technology is everywhere.  It is being used by everyone. Grandma downloads apps and communicates with junior over Facebook. Women are dominating social media and African Americans are becoming Twitter’s fastest-growing demographic group. The public is investing billions of dollars in tech companies and expects professionalism, maturity, and corporate social responsibility.  It is losing its tolerance for elitism and arrogance. Note what just happened when Silicon Valley luminary Tom Perkins wrote to the Wall Street Journal to complain of public criticism of the Bay Area elite and his ex-wife Danielle Steel. He said “Writing from the epicenter of progressive thought, San Francisco, I would call attention to the parallels of fascist Nazi Germany to its war on its ‘one percent,’ namely its Jews, to the progressive war on the American one percent, namely the ‘rich.’” There was such an outpouring of anger on social media over the comparison to the Nazi genocide that the venture capital firm Perkins founded, Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, disavowed its association with him. Tech blogs and newspapers lashed out. Silicon Valley heavyweights such as Marc Andreessen and Marc Benioff expressed their disapproval. It is a rare thing in Silicon Valley for any venture capitalist or CEO to speak up against a tech luminary — no matter how much out of line he may be. So this was a surprise. The Perkins controversy is the tip of the iceberg. Kleiner Perkins is itself embroiled in a sexual-harassment scandal that it chose to litigate rather than settle. When Twitter filed for an IPO with an all-male board, the New York Times slammed it for being an old boys’ club. Rather than admitting that his company may have erred, Twitter CEO Dick Costolo chose to lash out publicly against a critic—me—for expressing outrage in the article. A few weeks later, Twitter gave in to the growing backlash and announced a woman director. There was no apology or humility, however. In most industries, discriminating on the basis of gender, race, or age would be considered illegal. Yet in the tech industry, venture capitalists routinely show off about their “pattern recognition” capabilities. They say they can recognize a successful entrepreneur, engineer, or business executive when they see one. The pattern always resembles Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, or them: a nerdy male. Women, blacks, and Latinos are at a disadvantage as are older entrepreneurs. VCs openly admit that they only fund young entrepreneurs and claim that older people can’t innovate. It isn’t just venture capitalists who are insensitive to federal employment-discrimination laws. Most tech companies refuse to release gender, race, or age data. They claim this information is a trade secret. Whatever data are available reveal a strong bias towards young males. In his letter to Wall Street Journal, Tom Perkins complained of the outraged public reaction to Google buses carrying technology workers and to rising real-estate prices. But these are genuine grievances. Long-time residents of San Francisco are being displaced because of skyrocketing rents. Bus stops are being clogged with fleets of luxury buses. The tech industry is taking advantage of the investment that taxpayers made in public infrastructure, the Internet, and education—without giving much back or even acknowledging its debts to society. Silicon Valley’s tech companies are also disconnected from the communities in which they live. They remain aloof about the problems that the poor face. Very few help set up soup kitchens, build houses for the homeless, or provide scholarships for disadvantaged children. Tech moguls such as Peter Thiel go as far as admonishing the value of higher education itself—and paying children $100,000 to drop out of college. Most startups focus on building senseless social media-type apps or solving the problems of the rich—and that is what venture capitalists typically fund. Silicon Valley has an important role to play in solving the world’s problems.  It is the epicenter of innovation. Most technologists I know have a social conscience and want to do whatever they can to make the world a better place. Yet the power brokers—most venture capitalists, super-rich angel investors, and CEOs consistently show a disregard for social causes. They display a high level of arrogance, demand tax cuts for themselves, and have a don’t-care attitude. As demonstrated by the Perkins letter, this sends the wrong message to the world and holds Silicon Valley back. It is time for the Silicon Valley elite to smell the coffee and realize that the world has changed—and that they must too. It is time for tech entrepreneurs to focus on solving big problems and giving back to the world.

Is it just a misunderstanding to think that "Google is Evil"?

Is it just a misunderstanding to think that "Google is Evil"? GOOGLE-INVESTIGATIONLink to this page:  http://wp.me/p4e1uX-1hM Is Google getting a bad rap for no reason? Are poor people and poor companies just jealous of Google's profits? How did Google get in so much trouble? In 1969 a senior administrator confirmed a budget for four guys in California to try to create a system to put offices on an electronic leash. They connected a few University offices and ARPANET was born. That turned into the INTERNET and now GOOGLE and their VC's control most of it. The dream of creating an electronic leash to every living human has been achieved. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Let's discuss the reasons why people think "Google is evil" and see if it is all just a misunderstanding. Here is the latest list, compiled from the INTERNET, of things that people write that they are upset at Google about: - "Google executives are rich elitist Frat/Sorority people seeking world control for their beliefs." Is this true? - "Google venture capital investors in Silicon Valley are rich elitist Frat/Sorority people seeking world control for their beliefs." Is this true? - "Google forces medium and low income people out of their homes wherever they have offices." Is this true? - "Google lobbyists and operatives bribe politicians to get laws made that only benefit Google Executives and their VC's". Is this true? - "Google was created as a front for the NSA and actually IS the NSA." Is this true? - "Google exists to harvest personal privacy data by seeming to offer free things to entice you in but sucking all of your information out of you without you noticing while you are in." Is this true? - "Google has a vast group of people in Silicon Valley called the "UI/UX SWAT TEAM" that spends all day playing mind games on test subjects to see what the best way is to trick people into moving their mouse this way, or that way, in order to control the public when they are in any Google property." Is this true? - "Google uses all of your information against you with subliminal marketing to make you buy things you don't actually need." Is this true? - "Google is a secret political agenda voter manipulation device to get everybody to vote a certain way by manipulating search results so it looks like everybody else is doing the same thing." Is this true? - "Google stores surveillance information on citizens in huge digital warehouses." Is this true? _ "Google rigs it's search results depending on who their investors like, and don't like." Is this true? - "Google never actually erases your personal information." Is this true? - "Google "Maps", "Earth", "Loon", "self-driving cars", "robots", etc. all are about capturing human activity, logging and storing it for their profit and control." Is this true? - "Google and their VC's fight for "immigration laws" so they can import more cheap workers from offshore". Is this true? - "Google harvests your life data and sells it to marketing and data services so than can digest it and sell it back to you, in sinister subliminal ways, as products." Is this true? - "Google creates a TED-world glazed-eye glass bubble around all of it's staff so their workers are trained to think that the technology they are building is for the greater good when it is really for privacy-profiting and belief steering." Is this true? - "Google Glass is the world's most compact spy-system designed to spy on you and get you to spy on those around you." Is this true? - "Google demeans women. It hires very few of them. The ones it hires are put in window-dressing positions. Google has replicated and distributed the words: "Ho, Bitch, Shorty, Lttle Girl, Baby, Skank, Ratchet" and other minimizing words that demean women more than any other publisher in the world." Is this true? - "Google's user disclosure statements are made to be so complex that only a PHD could understand them, so no Google user understands what they are agreeing to." Is this true? - "Google wants all workers "perception-controlled" in transit on their buses and boats, at the office with in-building stores, food, snacks and media and after-hours with Google online media." Is this true? - "Google barges were actually something far more insidious than just "floating stores", but they got found out and shut down." Is this true? - Let discuss: TT- NYT, GHJ-, Scott C S&D, SS-Denver Post ----------------------------------------------------------------
